Hayabusa 2 has been a great success story of 2020 . Beingin the field to retrieve it will live with me forever. The first sample of a C-type asteroid is now in the lab and waiting for analysis in 2021. Looking forward to being back in Japan.

The successful return of samples from asteroid Ryugu is a momentous occasion. The sample return marks the end of one amazing journey and the beginning of a new one. I am proud of my small role in Hayabusa 2 and look forward to analyzing the samples for years to come!
