The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has been conducting the 2026 scientific balloon campaign at the Taiki Aerospace Research Field from 18 May 2026 to 12 September 2026.
However, due to high-altitude wind and cloud amount conditions remaining unsuitable for the B26-01 flight during this period, JAXA has decided to conclude the scheduled campaign period without conducting the B26-01 experiment.
