From 19 May, JAXA's 2025 scientific balloon campaign will be conducted at the Taiki Aerospace Research Field.
The objectives for the missions planned in this campaign, and the applicant organisations are as follows:
- Verification experiment of an improved cryogenic air sampler (Tohoku University)
- Balloon-borne very long baseline interferometry experiment (National Astronomical Observatory of Japan)
- DemonstRation Experiment of Alignment Monitor (DREAM) 4 (Waseda University)
- Flight test of a super-pressure balloon with a diamond-shaped net (Institute of Space and Astronautical Science)
- Preliminary experiment toward a precise verification of general relativity based on laser frequency transfer (III-1) (Institute of Space and Astronautical Science)
- Preliminary experiment toward a precise verification of general relativity based on laser frequency transfer (III-2) (Institute of Space and Astronautical Science)
- Rubber balloon experiment for reentry capsule with rigid aerodecelerator (Hokkaido University)
- Rubber balloon experiment for reentry capsule with flexible aerodecelerator (Hokkaido University)
