We are pleased to announce that the MMX spacecraft has been successfully delivered to the JAXA Tanegashima Space Center. The development of the spacecraft system design was conducted by Mitsubishi Electric, and the spacecraft was constructed and tested at the Mitsubishi Electric Kamakura Works prior to moving to Tanegashima.
The MMX spacecraft departed from Kamakura in the early morning of March 28, 2026 and travelled on a dedicated shipping vessel to arrive at Shimama Port on Tanegashima Island on March 31. The spacecraft was then moved to the second Spacecraft Test and Assembly Building (STA2) at the Tanegashima Space Center (TNSC).
From now on, system protoflight testing (PFT) of the spacecraft will continue at STA2, as we steadily proceed toward launch in FY 2026.
