Department of Space Astronomy and Astrophysics

Department of Space Astronomy and Astrophysics is engaged in observational research of astrophysics research on observational instruments and technology for the next generation and the study and launch of new space missions. Observations are conducted over a wide range of wavelengths, including radio submillimeter infrared, X-ray and gamma-rays. Researches are also conducted by using ground-based observations.

Main targets include galaxy clusters, active galactic nuclei, galaxies, stars star-forming regions and protostars, supernova remnants, interstellar matter, exoplanets.
