The Department Space and Astronautical Science in SOKENDAI will hold a two-days introductory program for the students who wish to enroll the department in the future.

The program consists of lectures and virtual visits of laboratories.
The lectures will be given by faculty members of the department. They will talk about basic knowledge as well as cutting-edge topics in their specialized fields for undergraduate students.
The participants will visit laboratories and talk with the faculties to see the research environment at ISAS. Also, there will be an occasion to talk with students who are currently studying at ISAS.
The program is for domestic students, and the lectures and discussions will be mainly in Japanese.

Schedule

Date: Wednesday, August 24 & Thursday, August 25, 2022

Location: JAXA Sagamihara-campus (Kanagawa Prefecture)

Expected participants: Those who are currently living in Japan and consider to study at the Department of Space and Astronautical Science of SOKENDAI in future. We assume undergraduate students of 1st to 3rd year, but we do not exclude other persons.

Language: The lectures and discussions will be mainly in Japanese with some supports in English.

The outline of the program is given below. Details of the lab. visiting and group talk will be arranged upon the requests from the participants.

Application for participation

If you want to attend the program, please apply from this registration form by Friday, August 19th, 17:00 JST.
For on-site participants, we will support travel expenses also the accommodation fee if it fits to our condition. Accommodation shall be arranged by yourself. Please complete registration no later than August 15th(Mon) 17:00 JST. Detailed procedures will be given individually.
