Antenna Assembly Construction (Installation of snow cover) #12

Installation of snow prevention equipment (snow cover) is almost complete.

Aerial work platforms are required for installation, becouse the foundation height alone is 2m.

The cover of the master collimator was attached.

In order to prevent thermal deformation due to the outside air, heat insulating materials are attached to the tower of the master collimator itself, and the outer circumference is covered with a cover. The diameter of it is about 2.5m.

The assembly work of the Az rotatable structure is also approaching the final stage. From now on, the support structure part that receives the EL rotatable structure part (the tower-shaped one shown in the lower right of the photo below) will be placed on the top, but the upper curing and veranda are attached so that the work can be done safely. In parallel with this, the groundwork and gears of the EL (elevation) sector frame are roughly adjusted.

The names of the parts that make up the antenna are shown in the figure below. We plan to carry out each assembly in the following period.

-Assembly of Az rotatable structure: Until the end of June 2018

-Assembly of EL rotatable structure: Until the end of September 2018

-Assembly of Reflector: Until the end of November 2018
