Time lapse video (English below)
Misasa Deep Space Station (MDSS54) is located in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture, and has been in operation since April 2021 as a successor station to UDSC64.
This video was taken while tracking a star in order to maintain the performance of MDSS.
In June, you can clearly see the Milky Way in the southern sky.
The red lamp glows during driving.
In mid-January, you can see the constellation Orion and the Winter Triangle in the southern sky.
MDSS regularly tracks stars and acquires data in order to maintain pointing accuracy of it at about 1/1000 degrees.
