This site introduces operational and maintenance status of Misasa Deep Space Station (MDSS) of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

News

• We look forward to your continued support and support for MDSS in 2022.
• MDSS is tracking "HAYABUSA2" of JAXA, MPO(Mercury Planetary Orbiter) of ESA and JUNO of NASA.
  Oprerational status of "HAYABUSA2"
• Then purpose of GREAT2 project is as follows.
  • Improvement of the reliability and stability of the MDSS station (redundant system, spare parts, emergency power generation equipment)
  • Add functions to support future spacecrafts (EQUULEUS, MMX, DESTINY+ and so on).
  These functions will be added until the end of March 2024. Thank you for your continued support.
• The full-scale installation work of NAS battery equipment was resumed from April 18, 2022.
