DKIST coordination spring 2026:

1. DKIST will support the FOXSI-5 campaign from May 5th - May 15th, they will NOT run any of the programs for which we received HOP requests during that window.
2. Of the HOPs we received, the only DKIST programs that will be run in the proximate DKIST window (effectively May 16th - June 21st) are:
HOP 529 (da Silva Santos, flare precursors)
HOP 530 (Tamburri, major flare)
HOP 532 (Ashfield, major flare)
3. Implementation of HOP 529:
They will give us advance notice (the Friday before a Tuesday upload) if they plan to support it in the next week. We can then run the program during DKIST daylight on the days they indicate that week.
4. Implementation of HOPs 530, 532:
a They will run the Ashfield program (HOP 532) at the first major flare watch opportunity, then the Tamburri program at the next.
b. We should plan to run the Ashfield program as much as possible during DKIST daylight from May 16th onward until they notify us that it has been run, at which point we would switch to running the Tamburri program.
5. The other two DKIST programs (HOPs 531, 533) may be run in their next window, which starts in July (or even in later windows).
6. After the June SSC (SOOP HOPs are due June 15), I will communicate with her further about our capacity to support DKIST observations in August/September, given the overlap between the RSWs and the DKIST window.
