Thank you very much for your understanding.
23-2018/04/24: backup

Day 2 of the operation (24 April) is prepared for the case where the Start Tracker (STT; sensor used for the Z-axis rotation of the spacecraft) were not to track the target star (Canopus) during the Day 1 operation. We concluded to resume telescope observations from the evening passes of Wednesday, 25 April so as to avoid any confusion in the Day 2 operation.
So, to summarize, Hinode is to stop observations at 5 UT on Monday, 23 April and will resume observations after the evening passes of Wednesday, 25 April. Later, I will send separate e-mails to telescope COs for some more details on the non-observing period and necessary actions for the telescopes side. Thank you for your cooperaiton and I hope this would cause minimum impact to the HOP observations. |
