 abstract of observational proposal
Main Objective: Determine the three dimensional structure of complex active regions and how they are connected and the solar wind

Scientific Justification: The STEREO-A spacecraft is approaching the Sun-Earth line in August, making this July a prime time to obtain stereoscopic data using STEREO-A/EUVI and SDO/AIA and GOES/SUVI. STEREO will be receiving enhanced telemetry from July 3- Aug. 2 to help facilitate such observations. Goals include understanding active region structure in 3D and how that is affected by solar activity, and how active regions are connected to the solar wind. STEREO will be observing the entire solar disk, but it would be helpful to coordinate other instruments with more limited field of view for the most useful possible data sets.

 request to SOT
Several 320"x164", 230"x164", or 164"x164" fast maps are requested, depending on the size of the AR target, repeated as many times as telemetry allows. Compression of 65% is OK.

 request to XRT
Standard AR program with two filters with a 60-90 s. Exact size of the images would depend on the size of the target, either 324hx384h FOV, or 512hx512h.

 request to EIS
A standard active regions study consisting of runs of HPW021_VEL_260x512v2, with occasional Atlas_60.
If EIS is otherwise engaged with a Major Flare Watch we would still like to get a HPW021_VEL_260x512v2 run occasionally if possible.

 other participating instruments
63h x 120h 5 min raster:
3640106059 | Large sparse 64-step raster 63x120 64s Deep x 4 Spatial x 2, Spectra | 324.43 |152.25 | 0.32 | 5.1+/-0.1 | 324+/-0 | 20.3+/-0.0 | 20.3+/-0.0 | 20.3+/-0.0 | 20.3+/-0.0

But doing a larger raster every about few 3 hours: 105.3h x 120h 27.5 min raster
3620106076 | Large dense 320-step raster 105.3x120 320s Deep x 4 Spatial x 2, Spectra | 1652.08| 1268.12 | 0.52 | 5.2+/-0.1 | 1652+/-0 | 20.7+/-0.0 | 20.7+/-0.0 | 20.7+/-0.0 | 20.7+/-0.0

 remarks
Dates: The STEREO/SECCHI High Telemetry Campaign is July 3-Aug. 2.

The details are still being worked out, but the current draft schedule includes July 3-17: EUVI highcadence full-disk observations (probably 2.5 min cadence for 171 and 195 A).
Jul 18-25: COR2 high cadence (2.5-min), so target for IRIS and Hinode would be an active region near the limb, if one exists.

Time window: No special time window, but it would prefer having Hinode and IRIS observe at the same time.

Target(s) of interest: Complex active region. Preference would be to follow the target as is crosses the disk.
Later in the month during the Cor2 high cadence campaign an active region at or near the limb (preferably west limb) would be the target. Targets selections will be sent out via email
