Main Objective: Fast cadence observations of an active region Scientific Justification: In this HOP we plan to study an active region at high time cadence. This has been done already for XRT, with interesting results. Along with this, we will use new EIS wide slot studies. This is following on from the use of the EIS wide slot data to extract velocities in the early stages of a flare (Harra et al., 2017).
This method made use of the EIS flare trigger data which has 1-minute cadence. In this HOP we have developed a new study that will observe at 10 sec cadences. We wish to also coordinate with IRIS with a sit and stare study. This should highlight flow spectroscopically that can confirm any interesting events seen with XRT and EIS.
This should be run outside of SAAs for both Hinode and IRIS. |
