 abstract of observational proposal
First light NST data showed presense of small upflow jet-like
eventsprediminantly stemming from intergranular lanes. Recent NST data collected with adpative optic system further showed that these intergranular jets are often associated with fragmenting graneles, in particular with a well defined bright granular lanes. Steiner et al. 2010 found these lanes in MHD simulated and SUNRIZE observed data. Model results also show that the bright granular lanes are part of a plasma vortex tube, which is expected to have enhanced turbulent magnetic fields.

In order to better understand the nature of the intergranular jets and their magnetic environment we propose a joint observational campain between BBSO NST and Honode/SOT.

Hinode SOT G-band and Ca II H Requirements

G-band observations will be comlementary to hight resolution NST TiO images, so that the bright lanes will be clearly identified and measured.

Ca II H observations will provide information on the dynamics of chromospheric bright points seen in inter?granular lanes.

We need at least 1 min cadence data.

Hinode SOT FG observations

1min I and V Stocks parameters measured in Na I 5896A spectral line. The 60 sec cadence is preffered, lower cadence 120 s could be acceptable.

Hinode SOT/SP observations

We are msotly interested in getting as many as possible high quality magne
