 abstract of observational proposal
Our aim is to obtain a more thorough understanding of the morphology of coronal loops which support longitudinal intensity perturbations, of the nature of the (quasi-)periodic driver and the evolution of the perturbation as they travel through the different temperature regions of the solar atmosphere.

 request to SOT
HINODE/SOT/FPP Ensure at a minimum SOT/FPP synoptic observations during JOP to provide context images and assist with data alignment. If possible, home in on selected target region for higher cadence observation (especially before and after high cadence sequences).

 request to XRT
HINODE/XRT Context images before and after high-cadence sequences in the full field of view. A reduced field of view might be necessary during the high-cadence parts. Probably restrict the partial frame, high cadence runs to 2 channels (cadence ~ 10-20 seconds), interrupted by full frame images in all bands every 30 or so minutes (if possible aligned with interruptions in TRACE high-cadence runs and EIS and CDS rasters).

NOTES: (i) The planner should use the study as defined, with one 'St Andrew 2' raster, followed by repeats of 'St Andrew 1' raster to fill the available time slot.  (ii) The planner should not repeatedly switch between these rasters 1 and 2 in a study during a SAA  HINODE/XRT Context images before and after high-cadence sequences in the full field of view
