A delegation headed by Dr. Wu Ji, Director General of the National Space Science Center (NSSC), the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) visited Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in response to invitation by Dr. Saku Tsuneta, Vice President of JAXA and Director General of ISAS, on 28 August, 2017.

NSSC is the Chinese national research institute for space science. Dr. Tsuneta extended his warm welcome to the delegation. In the bilateral meeting, the Chinese delegation and ISAS Directors and scientists introduced respective space science activities, exchanged their experience in space science programs, and discussed potential future collaboration. Both parties confirmed their intentions to carry out collaboration regarding utilization of science data.

After the successful bilateral meeting, Dr. Wu Ji delivered the lecture to introduce the latest Chinese space science programs. The lecture attracted a lot of audience and impressed the rapid development in the Chinese space science programs on the participants.
