daily note

Co-alignment program run:
Please run co-alignment program on May 27 for the three instruments.
- The sequence should start exactly 15 minutes after the pointing change to stabilize the satellite pointing drift.
- 100 minutes for N-limb at 945 arcsec and 100 minutes for E limb at -945 arcsec.
- Not necessary to be during SAA-free time.
- For XRT, take G-band data every 5 minutes instead of 8 minutes. This is just for the N limb run. 8 minutes cadence is still OK for the E limb run.
- For XRT, please take data even during SAA periods.

[Maintenance Note (Morita)]
The security patch will be installed on the following machines on Tuesday, May 26th. After the installation is performed, these machines will be rebooted. Please do not use them during this period.
Data distributors for real time operation are not related to this maintenance.
-Telemetry gateway machines from non-JAXA stations ; at 9:30-19:00 JST.
(*Data cannot be transferred to JAXA until after this job is finished.  Folks on
the reformater mailing list should take note.*)
-Data distributor used for transfer of commands on 'datastrg1' ; at 15:00 - 23:00 JST.

[Hinode operation room (Shimizu)]
The layout in the Hinode operation room will be changed to locate the Hinode's Attitude Control System simulator in the room. The north-west side of the room will be used for the simulator. NEC people will work for the layout change from 9:30JST to the evening.

SOT:
- HOP 79 EW Irradiance Scans
- Sunrise campaign program tests
- Needs 3 hours fixed pointing at disk center for post-bakeout flat fields, once each day this week
- SOT RCO phone # 1-650-644-6147
- Zoe Frank as backup at ISAS.

XRT:
- XRT supports HOP71 and HOP79
- Test of the standard XOB  for an active region (the required duration is short).
- Observation of the large AR filaments on the decay active region near the equator.

EIS:
- Sensitivity monitoring 3.5 hours on quiet Sun near disk center to run sometime this week.
- Decaying active region observations are a high priority. Large context scans followed by small FOV higher cadence observations.
- N. hemisphere coronal hole TOO observations when it reaches disk center (today?).
- support HOPs 71 and 79.

[Maintenance Note (Manabe), for CO/CP Tohban]
Firewall setting in the work station will be configured on machines
'cpws', 'xrtco', 'eisco', 'sotcows1', 'sotcows2' at 15:00-16:00(JST)
on Tuesday the 26th of May.
No influence to CP and CO operation.
Please report if you have any trouble.
