daily note

Note: XRT is conducting Remote Operations. Please continue using Yugma for the Morning Operations Meetings, and dial in to the telecon phone number (see telephone-number card in Hinode morning-meeting room). To contact the XRT Chief Observer, please call +1-617-496-1156 (US phone number).

SOT
- HOP 95: A statistical analysis of the magnetic fields of Network Bright Points.  Requires at least two hours near disc center, but will have more time.
- Pre-test of 4 position east limb pointing for CCD engineering test.

XRT:
- Polar jet observations at S pole, and maybe N too (telemetry permitting).
- Will run extended synotptics for multi-thermal plasma studies during EIS sensitivity this weekend, at 15:00 on 7 Feb.
- QS bright point/thermal study.

EIS:
- Sensitivity mointoring to be run this weekend (3.5 hrs required).
- Continuous tracking of the same target starting at the beginning of the long SAA free period and continuing until around 3UT (exact times depend on SAA and will be provided by David Brooks). Pause for the 18UT synoptic is ok. This is a test observation to demonstrate new EIS operational capability at the upcoming EIS science meeting.
- Full CCD spectrum above North and South Poles (3.5 hours each). DEM distribution for open magnetic field geometries with different inclinations (Brooks).
