daily note

SOT S/W upload continues.

Note: XRT is conducting Remote Operations this week. Please continue using Yugma for the Morning Operations Meetings, and dial in to the telecon phone number (see telephone-number card in Hinode morning-meeting room). To contact the XRT Chief Observer, please call +1-617-496-1156 (US phone number).

EIS: Sensitivity monitoring today for 3.5 hours on quiet Sun near disk center. This will be run in coordination with SOHO/ICAL1 around 11.00-14.30UT (depending on SAA etc.).

Quiet Sun observations (tracking) for a long duration (1 day) during one of the two day uploads (Today is better because of SOHO/ICAL). Would like SOT (magnetograms, Ca II) and XRT (thin filter) support for some of this period if possible (low cadence ~ 1min is enough).

SOT: Will support EIS Quiet Sun observations.

XRT:
- Axions (and large scale hot QS plasma)
- Thermal analysis before and after axions
- Polar Plume Studies
- QS Studies
