GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ASIAN WINTER SCHOOL 2006
The Graduate University for Advanced Studies (Sokendai), Space and Astronautical Science will give an open lecture on space environment and space environment utilization researches as a part of "Asian Winter School 2006" in December 2006. The lecture aims at fostering future generation in Space Biology and Microgravity Sciences and creating international research networks.

The main theme of this lectures is "Science in the extreme situations."

Participants will be recruited internationally from Asian graduate students and young researchers including those residing in Japan. Classroom lectures, laboratory tour, and laboratory trainings will be conducted for 4 days under the theme of "microgravity", "radiation rays", and "high vacuum."

Instructors are scientists belong to JAXA, Department of Space Biology and Microgravity Sciences and ISS Science Project Office who are on front lines in this field.
