 abstract of observational proposal
Main Objective: AR flares/dynamics in coordination with Solar Orbiter

Scientific Justification: Solar Orbiter EUI, SPICE and PHI are coordinating AR observation (not always labeled as SOOP) at high cadence, to monitor for flares/dynamics and composition. The Solar Orbiter target will be seen from Earth, so the Hinode support will provide additional plasma diagnostics information.

 request to SOT
04:22 - 21:02 run AR study
If the AR is on disk, as viewed from Hinode, then several 320"x164", 230"x164", or 164"x164" fast maps are requested, depending on the size of the AR target, repeated as many times as telemetry allows.

 request to XRT
We request to run a standard AR program with a flare trigger to move to high cadence (one filter).

 request to EIS
04:22 - 12:41 run AR study of core studies:
run HPW021_VEL_260x512v2 when a selected region reaches central meridian
- run at least one Atlas study (Atlas_60)
- in all cases run an AR raster regularly: HPW021_VEL_260x512v2, to monitor evolution.
- the listed HPW study versions use JPEG85 compression.

12:42 - 21:02
run a standard flare watch study

IRIS requests:
The support of IRIS is requested

 remarks
Dates: 29/10/2023

Time window: 04:22 UT - 21:02 UT. Priority is given in the slot 04:22 - 07:20 UT (07:00 - 07:20 UT all the Solar Orbiter instruments are running together). Second priority: 12:42 - 21:02 (a long sequence of SPICE at high cadence).

Target(s) of interest: Active region targeted by Solar Orbiter

Previous HOPs: no prior HOP submission
