 abstract of observational proposal
Main Objective: Support the commissioning activities for SPICE and EUI with complementary Hinode observations, including co-alignment and relative intensity.

Scientific Justification: Solar Orbiter SPICE and EUI will undertake near Earth commissioning activities during spring 2020 when there will be good opportunities to observe simultaneously with Hinode, enabling a relative intensity calibration between EIS and EUI in Fe IX/X and He II 304 (FSI) and 256 (EIS). A full spectral atlas for taken at sun centre provides similar opportunities for SPICE, while EIS raster studies provide co-alignment opportunities with the SPICE dumbells.

As PSP coordination, HOP 366, if possible

 request to EIS

For the full disk scan, the HOP 130 positions are rearranged to ensure a smoother overlap between
adjacent positions. David Brooks has software to calculate the pointings/timings. The full Sun scan takes
around 40 hours.

IRIS requests:
IRIS should follow all EIS pointings (that are not full-disk) with:

High datarate
3600259477  |  Very large dense 320-step raster 105.3x175 320s  Si IV   Mg II h/k Dee  |    3050.88    | 7383.29    |      1.65     |  9.5+/-0.2 | 3051+/-0   |  0.0+/-0.0 | 19.1+/-0.0 | 19.1+/-0.0 |  0.0+/-0.0

Low datarate alternative
3600109477  |  Very large dense 320-step raster 105.3x175 320s  Si IV   Mg II h/k Dee  |    2960.64    | 2476.28    |      0.57     |  9.3+/-0.1 | 2961+/-0   |  0.0+/-0.0 | 18.5+/-0.0 | 18.5+/-0.0 |  0.0+/-0.0

IRIS should also join the EIS full-disk scan.
