 abstract of observational proposal
With the HOP 045 observations, the EIS slot data indicate the presence of propagating Alfven or fast magneto-acoustic waves with the periodicity of about 15-20 min in the inter-plume region which was seen upto 1.2 solar radii. Whereas in the plume region, slow magneto-acoustic waves were seen upto 1.1 solar radii with the same range of periodicity. These results have been reported in Banerjee et al. (2009) and Gupta et al. (2010). These studeis were done using the EIS SLOT and SUMER slit.

To confirm these observations further, we would like run observations with EIS 2'' slit on plume and interplume region together with AIA.  The proposed study duration is of about 7 hours, to be run one or two times.

 request to SOT
One or two SP scans. Ca II H images.

 request to XRT
60 s observations in a single filter (Al-poly) with a 512x512 field of view.

 request to EIS
Time series of sit and stare in strong isolated lines to study radiance oscillations at different temperatures. Exposure times of about 45 s. Context raster images are foreseen for context and for co-alignment with the other instruments. The slit will be placed at the north (south) limb, such as to observing up to 300'' above the limb at solar-X=0'' for 180 min. Then move the slit by 30'' in the solar-X direction to take the another 180 min time series.

Estimated Study duration: about 7 h.
Raster: The new study will be a modification of study arm_raster_ch, ID 000106
