 abstract of observational proposal
1. Compare the emergence of horizontal magnetic fields on the photosphere with the choromosphere.
2. Do transient horizontal magnetic fields seen on the photosphere appear in the chromosphere?
3. Do the horizontal fields have any effects on the choromospheric activity?

Observe transient horizontal fields in the QS, the plage, CH, and AR.

 request to SOT
*SP: Deep mode map, 60h width
Simultaneous FG: Na IVDG G-band and Ca, 100h wide, 2 min cadence
*SP: Fast mode map, FOV 9.6h x 164h
Simultaneous FG: Na IVDG G-band and Ca, 60h wide, 1-2 min cadence
*SP: Fast mode map, FOV 2.5h x 164h
Simultaneous FG: Na IVDG G-band and Ca, 20h wide, at least 30 sec cadence

Some of the template programs were run in 11/29-30. The FOV, and the cadence can be adjusted, depending on the allowable telemetry.

 request to XRT
Find the relationship between the transient horizontal fields and transition region and corona A test of HOP 55 was carried out from 11/29 and 11/30. The following XOB was used. XOB#1472: FOV512x512, Al-poly 40 cadence.
In addition to Al-poly, Thin-Be can be used when active region is in the FOV.

 request to EIS
Find the relationship between the transient horizontal fields and transition region and corona

*When SOT carries out wide scan with deep mode ST 229 or ST 163 can be used.

*When SOT carries out narrow scan with fast mode. The programs with Raster of ID=77 for the quiet Sun. A program including Raster of ID =136 can be used for the active region observation.

FOV: should be larger than SOT FOV EIS slot plus slit scan mode with emphasis on lower temperature lines

 remarks
Duration: 12 hours x 5 days (from -2 day to +2 day of DC passage)
Track a low-latitude AR, if available, not exactly at DC.
Start at 22:00UT if Hida Obs. is available.
