Attitude of Hayabusa is stable. Now Hayabusa is 4 to 5 kilometers away from Itokawa.

High-gain (high-speed) transmission between Hayabusa and Usuda Deep Space Center has been established. Now engineers are working for analyzing initially downloaded packets.

Now we are switching the antenna from DSN (Deep Space Network) into ISAS Usuda Deep Space Center.

Hayabusa has been turned to ascend in some reason.

As of 7:10 JST, the altitude is approximately 40 meters.

As of 7:05 JST, the altitude is approximately 90 meters.

As of 7:00 JST, the altitude is approximately 120 meters.

we confirmed that MINERVA (micro-rover) released at 3:24 pm (Hayabusa onboard time). Detailed condition are still investigating.

Hayabusa is now hovering at the altitude of 100 meters (2:55 pm JST).

The altitude of Hayabusa is approximately 120 meters at 2:45 pm JST.

As of 2:30 pm JST, the distance between Itokawa's surface and Hayabusa is approximately 200 meters.

As of 1:00 pm, distance between Itokawa's center and Hayabusa is 430 meters.

As of 12:30 JST, all instruments onboard are working normally.

As of 10:45 am JST, Hayabusa's altitude is approximately 800 meters.

Status of the spacecraft is normal.

Now we are starting Hayabusa blog.
We started descending at 3:00 am (JST). The altitude at the start of descent is approximately 1.4 km (from the center of Itokawa).

Due to a detection of anomalous signal at GO/NOGO decision, today's descent, including release of MINERVA and the target marker has been canceled.

The distance between Hayabusa and Itokawa is now approximately 1 kilometer. (10:50 am JST)

The distance between Itokawa and Hayabusa is approximately 1700 meters at 8:45 JST.

Explorer is desending smoothly at 8:16 JST.

The altitude is now approximately 2000 meters.

During DSN (Deep Space Network) visible time, Hayabusa started to descend at 4 pm. All operations are going well at 7:20 JST. Navigation images with wide-angle camera has been obtained.
